Saturday Sessions: Slow Week Fast Week
Sorry, I've been occupied!
Happy Saturday!
It’s been a week.
We’ve had:
IPO announcements from OpenAI and Anthropic
Apple finally taking AI seriously
Claude Mythos/Fable dropping
Busy busy week.
And of course I’ve been only semi working. Skipped a few newsletters apologies for that. But I think I have a decent excuse…
I got married on Wednesday!
And now sitting here writing on Friday eve at my new home here in Cyprus. The beer is there for colour contrast I swear:

It’s easy to get caught up in all the news, all the exciting things happening. SpaceX IPO, the world’s first trillionaire! Is Fable AGI? Are we accelerating into a new age? So fast, so much.
I think this is a useful time to pause and reflect a little.
Whilst everything is moving faster and faster and faster (and, dare I say it, faster) it’s more important than ever to lock in what’s important.
Your loved ones. Family, found family, friends.
Health, fitness, food. Getting outside.
Hobbies, what you enjoy, what brings your happiness.
All of this is getting more not less important to discover and attend to.
Even if it feels like we need to disregard these and hustle harder to get ahead before it’s too late.
Remember though that this is what it’s really about. The simple and (quite often) free stuff. It’s about carving out time and energy to give them space.
It’s going to be OK.
…
OK! I’m going to segue. But you take a moment and come back when ready eh?
One part of my trying free up time is getting things off my plate. If I’m attending to every aspect of my business I don’t have the time, energy or space to keep focus.
I’m doing this right now by i) automating what I can automate with AI (no surprise here!) and ii) hiring more humans (ok now that’s a surprise maybe!).
The fact of the matter is I don’t have time to do everything. And, more realistically, even if I do have the time I shouldn’t be doing everything. There are things I’m simply not very good at! So why keep doing them? Silly.
So…we’ve been hiring and bringing on more team members as a result.
You may be thinking of doing the same - building out your team, getting more talent on board.
But right now we’re in a weird position. We ideally need to find people who are as good at using AI as we are. If I hired someone and they aren’t using Claude Code to do their work as fast and efficiently as possible I’d honestly be miffed. We know how important this stuff is and as such expect others to be clued up too.
BUT…that’s often not the case. Remember that you are ahead of the curve.
Not to worry - I’ve got a guide for you.
This one is written by my friend Noel who runs a company called JobRack. This is not a sponsored post btw this is me sharing a resource that I think is hyper-valuable right now. Plus Noel is great and really knows his stuff!
If you want to grab the guide it’s here (free):

This is also a fantastic use of Fable by the way.
If you have access to Claude’s new Fable 5 model (it’s on their Pro and Max plan until the 22nd June) I would highly recommend asking it to audit your life and work holistically to find blindspots and weaknesses.
I did this (with access to my email, Notion, Google Workspace, github Repos and basically all my business and life!) and asked “what am I missing? What are my unknown unknowns? Where am I getting in my own damn way?”
It was a sobering exercise! Highly recommend it. Maybe with a stiff drink.
Have an amazing weekend!
