Saturday Sessions: AI overwhelm

Where to focus?

Hey,

I’ve spent the week interviewing and talking to creators and builders in the AI space.

You’ll know an awful lot of them.

They are household names…well, at least in our little AI bubble! 😋

Specifically this is for a conference that I’m hosting. More details to come - it’ll be free to attend and (I think!) pretty amazing!

It’s got me fired the hell up! I want to build and create and grow more than ever.

But it’s double edged! There’s a joint feeling of:

  • YES I can do anything!!!

  • and….oh NO…I can do anything

It’s overwhelming. The choice. The different directions. The potential collaborations. The businesses and projects to build.

Because we can do so much with AI it’s tempting to try to do it all.

And we can do a lot. Like…a lot. I’m writing this around 16:30 on Friday. I’ve just:

  • written 4 welcome email sequences of 5 emails each

  • used Codex to help me split new email subscribers between these sequences in Beehiiv, my email tool (this is not something beehiiv can do!)

  • set up 3 variants thank-you pages for my site

  • wired up all the analytics to test the emails sequence and thank you page variants

Oh and:

  • refreshed the look and feel of my whole website

That all took me maybe …3 hours? A little less. We can do an insane amount of work with AI.

The question is though - where do we point all this capacity? All this power? What do we focus on? What do we progress and what do we leave?

What do we say yes to and what do we say no to?

I don’t think this is just me. I’ve talked to a lot of people who are feeling the same joint excitement and terror. The yawning possibility of everything.

So what’s the answer?

I don’t know. It’s something I’m working on! This week I’ve done a couple of lives on this. For instance Friday’s livestream presentation was about how to rapidly test business ideas in a day to know if they are a goer or not.

I’m going to continue to write and record on this topic for both myself and all of you. In part it’s my way of working it out for myself! But if I can possibly help any of you with the same question that’s a massive bonus.

With that in mind I’d love to ask a question so I can focus my work for you:

What’s your biggest friction right now with AI?
