Give Astra a Proper Job

Four projects worth handing to GPT-6 Astra.

Want to turn your AI knowledge into paid work?

With the release of Astra what does this mean for AI education businesses?

It’s GREAT news.

Join my free live workshop on Wednesday. I will show you what businesses pay for, how I structure an AI workshop and how to get started.

People spent the weekend asking GPT-6 Astra to build Manhattan in Unreal Engine.

Very cool. Great screenshots. Super viral!

But ultimately not very useful.

Meanwhile, most of us still have a horrible business problem, twelve months of financial clutter or a fitness plan held together by guilt and good intentions.

That is where I want to use Astra. To do REAL stuff.

Start with the messy version

Open voice mode and talk.

Literally using a microphone. Do NOT type!

Give it the unedited version of your life: the goals, the backlog, the things you keep avoiding and the ideas you have never quite turned into projects.

I use three buckets:

BE: Who do I want to become?

DO: What do I want to do?

HAVE: What do I want to have?

Then ask Astra to turn the mess into ten possible projects, rank them by impact and effort, and tell you which one is worth doing first.

Four proper jobs

Four project areas for GPT-6 Astra: health, business, money and life plan

In the livestream I went through 4 big areas:

Health and fitness. Give it your wearable exports, training history, calendar, travel, injuries and food preferences. Ask for a 12-week performance system that adjusts each week from your real data.

Business. Give it the numbers, customer research, products, calendar and your own time constraints. Ask it to find a route to more owner profit without quietly creating another full-time job for you. I ran a version of this on my own business overnight. Astra worked for roughly six hours.

Money. Hand it 12 to 24 months of statements, accounts, pensions, debts, property, income and goals. Have it reconcile the mess, model the next ten years and build a household command centre. You still make the decisions. Astra gets the evidence into a shape you can actually use.

Life plan. Give it your calendar, journals, work, money, health, family commitments and bucket list. Ask for three credible futures, choose one, then work backwards to the next 90 days.

Importantly for each we want not just a PDF report as an output. No no no.

We want a personalised system, built for us by Astra. Our own MyFitnessPal or Mint Finance. Proper systems and software tailored to us.

Is prompting dead?

Nah. We just need to change our definition

Prompting is just communicating. We still need to communicate what we want the AI to do. So….give Astra the outcome, source files, constraints, tests, checkpoints and definition of done. Tell it where it has room to move and where it needs to stop and ask. This still comes from you.

The adaptation is that you are commissioning a project that may run for hours or days. Five minutes spent writing the brief can save five hours of Astra confidently building the wrong thing. And burning an awful lot of tokens!

I put the voice dump, project finder and all four briefs in the free Astra playbook.

The same approach works better when your process is saved as a reusable ChatGPT Skill. My Codex personal-assistant walkthrough is a smaller place to practise the handoff.

To the Task,

Kyle
