AI with Kyle Daily Update 169
Today in AI: Lead Capture Machine
I want to show you the single most important system in my business. Not the flashiest, not the most technically impressive. It’s deeply un-sexy.
But by god it works.
Over the last two years, I've built AI With Kyle from absolute zero to mid-six figures, pushing towards seven figures this year. And the engine behind all of it? Getting people off social media and onto my email list. I currently add 200 to 500 email subscribers every single day and I want to show you the system.
Here’s my beehiiv (email platform) dashboard:

That’s last 4 weeks, +5000 subs. That’s averaging out around 166 new sign ups every day. Solid and pretty automatic.
I'm going to walk you through exactly how this works so you can set it up for your own business. The initial setup will take you a day. But once the pipework is in place, you can repeat the process daily and feed it into the same system.
Rented Land vs. Owned Assets

Here's something that should worry you if you're building a business on social media: even the people who follow you are not going to see all of your content.
We kinda assume that they’ll all see everything. They do not! The algorithms decide who sees what. Your reach fluctuates wildly based on platform trends. And God forbid your account gets shut down or banned, because then you have nothing. Game over.
Social media is rented land. An email list is an owned asset. You control the relationship. Nobody can take your list away. You get guaranteed direct inbox delivery, on your schedule. You can send content, send promotions, build a proper relationship with your audience.
Obviously, don't spam people. It's gross and it doesn't work. But the fundamental point stands: if you are building a business and you are depending entirely on social media, you are standing on a very shaky foundation.
Getting people off platform and onto your list is the single most important thing you can do for your business.
The Core Architecture
The system has three parts, and it's simpler than you'd think.

The Traffic is your social media presence. This is where the audience discovers you. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn. This is the top of the funnel, where you catch people's attention with short, useful videos.
Don’t worry if you don’t have an audience yet. This same method helps you build an audience. It does double duty.
The Engine is ManyChats and AI automations. Manychats automates DMs and fires keyword triggers instantly, 24/7. When someone comments a specific word on your video, ManyChat sends them a direct message with a link. You don't touch anything. It fires whether you're asleep or on a livestream.
For platforms where ManyChat doesn't work (TikTok outside the US, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn), I use Claude Cowork with scheduled tasks that check my profile, find new comments, and reply telling people to check the link in bio. I have it check about 20 comments every hour. Works a treat and lets you run this strategy on platforms where no-one else is.
The Vault is your email tool. I personally use beehiiv. This is where the email gets captured. Clean analytics, strong free tier, and built specifically for creators. You could also use Kit (formerly ConvertKit), or if you want a free alternative, Substack works too. You'll have less power and fewer monetisation options with Substack, but you can absolutely get started there.
FYI that’s a referral link to beehiiv. It’s what I’ve used for years and am happy to recommend.
The 5-Step Blueprint
Here's the actual process, step by step.

Let’s get into it.
Step 1: Pick a Hot Topic. This is where most people go wrong. Don't pick what you think is interesting. Pick what your audience is constantly asking about. Specific beats broad every single time.

I cannot stress this enough: do not overcomplicate it. This is top of funnel content. It's for people who don't know who you are. They don't know your background. They don't know you from Adam. Keep it broad, keep it high level, keep the depth very low. I've tried more complex approaches and they don't work.
Look at what people are constantly asking you about. Look at what's working for others in your niche. For me, anything about OpenAI or Claude Code is an easy win because those topics have massive interest built in. Find similar topics in your niche. If you have no idea see what is working for others. Start there.
Step 2: Make a Conversion Video. Aim for 60 to 90 seconds. One topic, one clear takeaway. Post it on TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.

The video doesn't need to be polished. It needs to be useful. Here's an example that worked well for me: "How to do a free AI SEO audit in 10 minutes." I showed a Claude Code skill that runs seven AI agents in parallel to audit a website. I showed a few screenshots and said "comment SEO if you want the free guide." Super basic video:
There’s a double benefit of this approach. The comment-based CTA doesn't just capture leads. It drives engagement metrics that make the algorithm push your content further. So the strategy builds your social following at the same time as it builds your email list. We like that.
Steps 3 & 4: The Keyword CTA and ManyChat Trigger. Inside the video, you tell viewers to comment a specific word if they want the guide. Keep it to one word. SEO. GUIDE. CODE. Whatever fits the topic.

The timeline looks like this: the user watches the video (0:00), you deliver the CTA around the 55-second mark, they comment the keyword at 0:58, and ManyChat instantly fires a DM with the guide link at 1:00. Done.
Experiment with this! What works for my audience won’t necessarily for yours.
What I will say though is that putting the trigger too early is a mistake. People comment and leave the video. They’ve got what they need. Force them to stay! Otherwise your engagement on the video will be wrecked by people leaving early.
On that video above alone in the 4 days since publishing, 646 people triggered the flow, and 57% clicked through to the landing page. Some topics do better than others. I did one about Sora and literally two requested the guide. Another one on my vibe coding tech stack one pulled 189. Let the data guide you.
Step 5: The Opt-In Vault. When they click the DM link, they land on a simple page.

They click the link. They enter their email on a simple beehiiv landing page. Or a page you make yourself (mine are made in Claude Code). The free guide is delivered. Total time from watching the video to joining your list: under two minutes.
My landing pages are generated using Claude Code. I locked down the design of one page, converted that into a Claude Code skill, and now every single day I can feed it a new video and have it create a new lead magnet and landing page automatically. Once you've done the upfront work, the daily effort drops massively.
The Compounding Flywheel

Your first video might get you two or three email subscribers. That's fine. The next day, you do another video with another lead magnet. Maybe that one gets five. But the first one is still running, still pulling in two a day. Suddenly you're at seven. The next one does ten. And they all keep going. As long as the video is up it’ll keep generating leads for you.
As your library grows, old videos keep getting views, which trigger new comments, which fire automated DMs. Each piece of content you make is still working for you six months later. The list grows while you sleep and accelerates as you expand your library.
Getting Paid Immediately with SparkLoop
There's a bonus layer to this system. This is more advanced but really kicks this into high gear.
Basically when someone signs up via your landing page, you can recommend other newsletters to them. If they subscribe to one of those newsletters, you get paid. Usually about $1 to $2 per signup. If they subscribe to multiple, you could earn $4 to $5 immediately per subscriber.
If you are adding 100 new subscribers a day and 50% of them decided to subscribe to another newsletter that’s immediately 50 referrals at $1.5 each for $75 a day revenue. That’s a nice extra $2250 a month.
Get that to 200 subs a day? $4,500/month.
You get the idea.
I use a service called SparkLoop for this. beehiiv has its own version called Boosts, but honestly, it fell off. It used to be stellar but now SparkLoop pays much better.
My 30-day numbers show about ~3,000 referrals sent to other newsletters, leading to roughly $2,000 in expected earnings. My payouts have been climbing: $118, then $294, then $329, now looking at $700 for the next one. That's approaching $100 a day. Not bad for something that runs entirely in the background!

This is especially powerful if you're running paid ads, because Spark Loop revenue can liquidate your advertising costs immediately. If you spend a $1 to get a subscriber but can automatically get that back by referring to another newsletter you can grow for free. But even organically, it's free money from a system that's already running!
The AI Layer: Don't Do This Manually
Now…you could do all this manually.
Don’t.
You cannot make landing pages yourself every single day. You cannot put together lead magnets by hand. You need to set up AI skills that do the heavy lifting.
Here's my workflow. I do a live stream every morning. That transcript becomes the raw material for everything else. I feed it through Claude Code and it generates a draft newsletter, potential scripts for TikTok and Instagram videos, a PDF lead magnet, and a landing page. This is the content waterfall approach: start with one piece of human-created content, then let AI multiply it into multiple formats.
The critical thing is that you start with something human. It doesn't need to be a live stream. It could be a blog post, a voice note where you share opinions on a topic, or even an AI interview where you answer questions verbally. The point is to capture your actual voice, your opinions, your personality. Then AI handles the conversion and distribution. This is the way.
What's Next
Start with the foundation. Get your email platform set up: beehiiv, Kit, or Substack. Set up ManyChat and connect it to Instagram. Create one lead magnet on a topic your audience cares about. Shoot one 60-second video. Connect it all together.
One video. One lead magnet. One automation. That's your first week.
Add Sparkloop if you want to get paid immediately.
Then do it again the following week. And again. And watch the numbers start to compound.
