Kyle's take: The internet's collapsing an awful lot lately! Used to be this never happened, now it's regular.

Unfortunately for the AI company Replicate this came days after announcing they are joining Cloudflare because they run the best infrastructure in the world….

Cloudflare going down took down an estimated 20% of the internet. Cloudflare is a provider of internet security across the world. Basically they sit between your website and your visitors and “serve” up your pages. Acting as a middleman allows for faster loads (via caching), balancing traffic and providing a layer of security.

Great when it works. Catastrophic when it doesn’t.

💎 Warren Buffett Bets $4.3B on Google After Secret Gemini 3 Demo

Berkshire Hathaway takes massive stake in Alphabet, selling Apple shares. Speculation: Buffett saw private Gemini 3 demonstration that convinced him AI is legit.

Kyle's take: Buffett famously said "I don't invest in stuff I don't understand" and has for the most part avoided tech for decades. Now suddenly he's dumping Apple and buying Google? The timing's suspicious.

Did Google show Buffett Gemini 3? Whatever he saw made him go "OK, AI has real value."

I’ve seen some people arguing that this is a massive blow to OpenAI. That’s a silly take. This isn't bearish for OpenAI - it's validation for the entire industry. When the Oracle of Omaha finally says AI has value, that's a market signal.

Kyle's take: These numbers are VERY good. Normally Google don’t run the hype train this hard. Feels like they are extremely confident in what they’ve built.

🤖 Grok 4.1 Drops at Worst Possible Time?

xAI releases Grok 4.1 - apparently excellent at creative writing, beats most models. Unfortunately launching right before Gemini 3 steamrolls everything.

Kyle's take: Wildly bad timing from Elon's team. They might've released Earth's best model but nobody will care when Gemini 3 drops in hours/days. Users saying it's great for creative writing, novel writing specifically.

Apparently it’s had a silent rollout over two weeks? But nobody noticed?When NanoBanana got better, Twitter noticed immediately. Turned out to be secret NanoBanana2 Upgrade. When Grok improved? Silence. That tells you everything.

📱 Jack Dorsey Resurrects Vine as "No AI Allowed" Platform

Twitter founder brings back Vine after 9 years. Selling point: zero AI content allowed. Will include 10,000 videos from ~2013 as weird time capsule…

Kyle's take: Remember "Do it for the Vine"? Six-second loops from 2013 when people did dumb stuff for virality. Ah simpler days.

This feels like a litmus test: does the public actually care about AI slop?

My bet: they do not.

People want entertaining content - they don't care who or what made it. In our tech bubble we have opinions about AI ethics, creativity, art.

“Normal” people? They just want funny videos.

I think Vine being "human-only" won't save it. I could be wrong though. Either way this’ll be a fascinating test to see what people really thing about AI.
